Hastings

November 6, 2010

Last weekend a bunch of us hired some streetcars and headed south. The aim was to gather chestnuts and our bounty was plentiful, but we also stopped along the way for a few bevvies, and afterwards strolled around Hastings old town in the fading daylight. It was pretty nice being out of London for the day and feeling some fresh sea air.

Went to a London Film Festival screening of animated shorts last weekend.

I was loving the muted daylight and tones after we emerged from the cinema…..

Its a little on the chilly side around these parts at the moment. Beautiful clear skies but cold wind.

Lots of cups of tea and crumpets with honey. Loving my wristworms from this lady

…finally!

Gosh, that was a long and unexpected break. Sometimes the technology is not my friend, but hopefully its all fixed and regular updates will commence immediately! My poor neglected blog……..

The very talented Lindsey Carr has mentioned me on her lovely blog.  She makes exquisite paintings I love verily, and I am very excited one is winging its way to me as I type. She is a good discovery, I highly recommend you pop along to check her out…… Through talking to her I solved some of my little niggles about printing my photos and am intending to put some prints up for sale in my etsy store. Hopefully that can be achieved during this little hiatus away from work I am having; in 3 weeks I will return to part time life in front of a computer gazing at Harry Potter for the third and hopefully final time.

Here are some pics I took while my little brother was visiting and we took in some touristy London sights.

Sorry for the complete lack of posts lately but my computer has decided to make life difficult and is still feeling temperamental. In the interim before I find a solution I am still delving into my archives, this time Marrakech. I wish I was a better wordsmith, I really do – that place is all kinds of beautiful chaos and I’m sure many other people have used more elegant phrasing about it than I ever could. I’ll just let the pictures do the talking!
